Why you should work hard.

In older aged people the number one thing I always hear when the topic of "what do you want to be when your out of school?" is make sure you think long and hard about what your going to do for the rest of your life, because if you choose something that does not suit you your not gunna ever be happy with your occupation. I think it is important to persue and work hard for the job you know you will enjoy and want, because if you don't succeed and get that job you wont feel like your complete in your life. Honestly a job is something I don't wanna come to where I hate what I'm doing hate the hours, hate my boss the list goes on. It just takes a bit more effort to get that job you have been wanting your whole life, the best job is when you arrive to work and are actually excited to be there, excited to do what you went to school for, excited for the rest of your life! It's very important to be passionate about your job, it will make your efforts there 100000 times better, which will result in many bonuses such as a raise, a premotion, or even meet the love of your life there. If your passionate towards your job it will change your whole attitude towards life and other people for that matter. People all the time tell me all the time to make sure I know what I want to get into before I waste 8 years and 50,000 dollars in post secondary institutions, so in my mind I think you should be passionate about what you want to do so you don't waste your own time!

In my adventures after high school I would like to focus on becoming an RN(registered nurse) it's always been on my mind since grade 10 after my cousin got into it. She always talked about how much she enjoys going to school for it, how enjoyable the people to work with! I'm a social person and RN requires you to interact with the patients which would be exciting always meeting new people and hearing different interesting stories etc. To get to be an RN I need to go to school for 4 years and get pretty much straight A's in my sciences and English of course. To get this career under my belt I need to work extremely hard, and 110% to my potential. But I know with hard work and effort I will make it!

Ten things I hate about you against Taming of the Shrew

In the movie "Ten things I hate about you" it captures the main focus in the play "Taming of the Shrew." The characters are basically the same in most ways, Patrick playing as Petruchio who is also quite a shrew is portrayed as a bad boy, criminal, statistic not nice what so ever. Patrick is drawn into persuing Katherine "Kat" by Joey who offers him money to date Kat so Joey can date her younger sister Bianca. Throughout the movie "Ten things I hate about you" Patrick goes through a significant change in his morals because at first he was just about getting the money and ditching Kat, to start being interested in her. For example in the movie, Patrick grabs the intercom while Kat is at soccer practice and sings to her before he got to know Kat he would have never attempted a stunt like that to show a girl he cares for her. In the play "Taming of the Shrew" Petruchio is acting like a class-A jerk to Kate when they first meet but inside he really is starting to fall in love with her to show he was acting like a jerk the play concludes "Petruchio is coming in a new hat and on old jerkin, a pair of old breaches thrice turned a pair of boots that have been candle cases one buckled, another laced." this is an outrage to Baptista but its helping tame Kate for Petruchio. And near the end of the play Petruchio himself is being tamed in a way, because he was acting all lovey dovey at the end instead of avoiding her contact completely for example "There thats my girl! Come on and kiss me, Kate." after Katherina's elongated speach about how a wife should act towards her husband. Good luck Aaron.

A Clockwork Orange

"Violence makes violence"

Violence will always just relate into more violence. For example Bin Laden crashed a plane into the twin towers, resulting in the US to go into a war that has lasted over a decade. If someone does an act of violence to another person there will be an equal or opposite reaction. Violence will never end when people frequently go by the saying of an eye for an eye will leave the world blind. I can personally connect to this because when I was at work minding my buisiness two kids came up to me and punched me, I retaliated and punched one of the assailents resulting in more violence and resulting me getting fired at my job. This will never give a positive reaction, people will never lose the violent side when people see murderers and rapists get off with a couple years and see bank robbers serve life sentances. This makes people think that the justice system is wishy washy. It's a vicsious cycle, after the Canucks lost Game 7 in the Stanley Cup the beautiful city of Vancouver was rampaged in, the people up roared and looted and faught, this resulted in millions of dollars in damage and more importantly the injured people. While the people were rioting the police force came and afflicted more violence on the rioters supporting my quote "Violence makes violence" is it really worth being that person who is known as violent? People just need to see that it's not worth inflicting pain on a fellow human being.

Public displays of Disaffection

The three strongest point in this article are that, people are losing the ability to have a one on one conversation as the article suggests “We’re losing our one-on-one people skills and ability to engage in uninterrupted, focused conversations.” this has become a problem because kids are looking more towards the non-intellectual route, and find using gadgets much easier than talking in person. Cell phones have become a nessecity in todays society as indicated “It’s an addiction,” she says, one that puts “personal and business relationships, both of which rely on making others feel valued, at risk.” people have been ruining relationships by social media, always checking their phones and puting the phones needs ahead of their own. People are starting to get frustrated with the cell phone rudness saying "no cell phones" like the " no smoking" campaign for example "Last month, Washington culinary mecca Rogue 24 made headlines when it asked diners to sign a contract prohibiting the use of phones and cameras during meals." this is because it is abrupt and people can't even enjoy a simple meal without using cell phone, or related devices. I agree with these points because people these days have become much too addicted with technology! Even if it risks our lives people take the few seconds that could save their lives to look at the text they have just recieved, for what to see that their friend just ate some bacon? Times a cell phone would be acceptable is when you absoloutley need to. For example car crash, someone has been injured, or when you are lost. I think that schools should ban cell phones absoloutley just so kids can be more social, and pay attention better. If they were banned in school kids would for sure get better marks "Students who have stopped using their cell phone in class reported, on average, a 10% increase in their grade point average." Also resturants and other public establishments should ban cell phones for a less abrupt time for other bystanders. Jamming cell phones outside of these establishments are not nessicary because people use cell phones to communicate for work related issues etc.

Guilty Pleasure ;)

Everyone has a guilty pleasure, it may be fast food, lobster fights the list goes on. For me it's Twilight, it just gripped me as soon as I read the first chapter. Whats not to like it's vampires fighting werewolves it's action packed! but people seem to frown upon me for reading it, I don't understand it's a well written book it's respectable. I understand other peoples opinions on it but don't really care :P I just find the relationship interesting between Bella and Edward, I've only read the first 100 pages but still it's really interesting..so that means the next couple hundred pages will be better and better and better...I think after the first book I may read the others, might as well because i already watched most of the movies. Honestly I wasnt even interested in it at first but then I got more interested from my friends reading the series. I just find it cool because  its just out of this serious world of ours to have a fairytard try to make it with a human. Like how unique is it that Edward(fairytard) sparkles in the sun, that doesnt happen often. I also have a guilty pleasure of playing X-Box and destroying newbs in Halo Reach ;) It's pretty intense but I usually come 12 and 13 so that leaves my K/D spread at -1 all the time, which is not good for my overall stats..people make fun of me because im a field marshall which is pretty high :) I feel that there critisism makes me want to play harder and get higher and higher in the ranks and prove them wrong :)

Honest Abe

It was Friday April 16, 1865 Fords Theatre was packed like a can of sardines, the crowd watched anxiously as President Lincoln walks to the state booth. I thought to my self  maybe I could sneak in a hello before the play started. As I walk up the stairs to the booth I see the presidents body gaurd walk by. I nodded he nodded back, then in my periferial vision I see a shady slim shaddow walk out of the dark towards the State Booth. I walk cautiously towards the slim crusader, he slowly opens up the door to the state booth, a shiny metal looking object in his hand. I start running towards the booth and BOOM! I got there just before the bullet, I took the bullet for President Lincoln, The assailent was apprehended by the Police officer, an actor John Wilkes Booth he played major roles in Shakespears plays. As I lay there wounded the crimson liquid flows out of my still body, but almost immediatley I get medical attention, it only broke my arm. After the whole situation I get the Congressional Medal of Honor for my bravery, with that Abraham Lincoln followed to help the African American people to vote and be entitled to other rights, and abollished the slave trade throughout the whole U.S.A.
